      Journal Articles

Journal articles are the best thermometer of a researcher's productive quality. Not in vain, all official recognitions and accreditations at the regional and state level depend strongly on the number and type of journal articles in which one participates. Currently, journals are classified according to their scientific quality in various rankings, being the one provided by Journal Citation Reports (JCR) the most solid and reliable. All journals indexed in JCR enjoy a reputed impact internationally. Depending on each category, journals are classified as Q1, Q2, Q3 or Q4 depending on the best quartile they occupy in any category in which they are included, in the year of publication of the article. Obviously, journals in higher quartiles imply a higher quality of contribution, along with an arduous and lengthy review process.
